Happy Father’s Day!
To the fathers who might be reading this, I encourage and hope that you are able to take this day to enjoy some time with your children, and also rest and recover. I know from firsthand experience that it can be hard to stay focused on growing and fostering your career while still being present and involved with your family.
One lesson I have learned only within the last few years, and it is very cliched, is that success is measured by more than just my career. But there’s a nuance to this; I’m not talking about balancing career and family. I’m not saying that you have to necessarily choose to sacrifice one for the other. I’m saying that they can complement each other. Having a family life that is fulfilling and supportive can help with your morale and mental energy for your work life.
Please note that I am only speaking through the view of my personal experience, which is as a father and husband. I recognize there are many people with widely varying personal and professional situations. I sincerely hope that you are able as well to find a path that works for you and helps you meet your goals, both career and family.
So for me to enjoy Father’s Day with my family, today’s post will be short. See you next post!
